Freshwater Pearls

Chinese Freshwater pearls range in size from 1-14mm. They are grown in a variety of natural colours including white, pink, peach and purple. We also carry treated colour Freshwater pearls in yellow and black colour. Freshwater pearls are known for their wide variety of shapes including round, drop, button, baroque, and various free-form shapes

Akoya

Akoya pearls are primarily grown in Japan with a smaller percentage grown in Vietnam. They are known for their excellent lustre and white or rosé overtone and perfectly round shape. Akoya pearls range in size from 2-9.5mm with exceptionally large pearls measuring over 10mm in diameter.

South Sea White

White South Sea Pearls are primarily grown in Australia and Indonesia. Most of the production ranges from 9-16mm with exceptionally large pearls growing to sizes over 20mm in diameter. These most prized cultured pearls are known for their beautiful white colour. Our South Sea white pearls are available in Round, Drop, Button, and Baroque shapes

South Sea Golden

Golden South Sea pearls are primarily grown in The Philippines, Indonesia, Burma and Australia. Most of the production ranges in size from 9-15mm with the larger pearls growing up to over 18mm in diameter. Golden South Sea pearls are known for their range of colours from pale champagne to deep butterscotch golden and are available in Round, Drop, Button, and Baroque shapes.

South Sea Tahitian

South Sea Tahitian pearls are grown in the waters of French Polynesia. Tahitian pearls primarily range from 8-16mm with large pearls growing to over 18mm in diameter. Tahitian pearls are known for their wide range of overtones which include green, blue, silver, peacock, black, brown, grey and many other exotic colours, and are available in Round, Drop and Baroque shapes.

Keshi

Keshi pearls, from the Japanese word for “poppy seed” are generally small pearls which are formed as a by-product of the pearl culturing process. They do not have a nucleus and thus are nacre throughout.
